The professional course ends with a certificate. It attests that you completed a specific programme and its practical component — and says nothing about how good an artist you are. Those are two different things, and it is better to say so plainly.

What the certificate attests
The certificate names the programme, the blocks you completed and the date of completion. It attests a fact: you took this programme and completed its practical work.
That is real and checkable information. That is precisely why it has value — not because a document means anything in itself.
What it does not attest
It is not a state licence, and makeup artistry in Georgia is not a licensed activity. Anyone telling you otherwise is either mistaken or selling you something.
It also does not attest quality. A good artist and a certified artist are not the same thing — quality is evidenced by a portfolio and by client history.
Why it is still worth having
A certificate does real work in a few specific situations, and all of them are genuine.
- Applying to a salon — it shows you trained systematically
- With early clients, while your portfolio is still thin
- For yourself, as a marker that a stage is finished
- With agencies or brands, where formal documentation is expected
The portfolio matters more
In practice most of an artist's clients in Georgia arrive through an Instagram profile, and nobody there asks for a certificate. They look at the work.
So the photographs taken at the end of the course are frequently worth more than the document. The course includes both, but the priority is clearly the portfolio.
How it is issued
The certificate is issued after the programme is completed in full and the practical component is done. It is not automatic — if the practical work is not completed, no certificate is issued.
This matters. A certificate issued for attendance attests nothing, and that devalues it for everybody who actually did the work.
